Subject on tipping: This is personal for each hunter. A tip should be based on the quality of the lodging, food, and the guides effort to put you in a hunting area where you see deer. Your overall hunting experience not just the size of the animals you see. If you are satisfied with the work the guide has provided you, his knowledge, the area you hunted, the animals you encountered during your hunt, and did what he could to make your hunt an enjoyable and pleasant experience. Typically 10% of the cost of the hunt is what is standard for hunting Outfitters/Guide.
